Paintings are a constant series of discoveries. No two are the same, just as in nature no two things are the same. There are new moments to be found in every painting. The process is essential to my work. I work in the moment, not knowing what is around the corner. The painting must be free to choose its own path. The best paintings are those that seem to surface out of nowhere. My works reflect a certain randomness within a sense of order. I believe that ideas are dangerous, paintings should simply happen.
